What Resources Does Signature Inspections Hawaii Offer Home Owners?

At Signature Inspection Hawaii we ofter you:

  • Tips To Prepare You For Your Home Inspection:
    • First it is important to realize that no house is perfect.  Items along the spectrum from major damage to minor maintenance issues are often found so you should be prepared for that.  Even new structures can have problems – they might have issues with the plumbing, electrical system, heating and cooling system, or the roofing system just to name a few.
    • In preparing for your home inspection please have all items removed that might prohibit access or limit our inspection progress.
      • Example:
        • Items blocking water heater
        • Attic cluttered
        • Limited / Unsafe access to crawl space
    • Once your inspector has arrived, it is recommended that you accompany him or her at the end of the inspection of the property.  This is to help you become familiar with the home and its systems as well as exactly what repairs the inspector recommends and why.
    • You might also want to prepare a list of items that you’ve seen in and around the home that you feel are cause for concern so that we can be sure to address these items during the inspection.  Don’t worry if you don’t know the right questions to ask – throw it out there and we’ll make sure our recommendations are easy to understand.

  • Escrow Cancellation Guarantee
    1. 15% – 20% of escrows get cancelled and that’s why we want your home inspection to be worry-free. That’s why we offer our exclusive Cancelled Escrow Guarantee with every home inspection we perform. Homes “fall out of escrow” due to many reasons that are unforeseen. Some of these reasons include:
      • A low appraisal
      • Big repair items as a result of an inspection
      • Unreasonable sellers
      • Or simply a change of heart

Protect yourself from having to pay full price for another inspection on another home. If your escrow cancels for any reason, we will do a second inspection for you at a 25% discount. The discount applies to a subsequent inspection of equal or lesser value. If your second house is bigger or has additional inspection items (such as a pool or guest house) that were not included in the first inspection, the difference will be billed at the regular price….. • My Home Sold! Now What Do I DO?  ( Moving Tips )
    • Now, for the next challenge: moving. This is a great time to carefully weed through your possessions and to dispose of any clothes, furniture and fixtures that you no longer want or need. Donate them to a charity, hold a garage sale – but if you don’t want them any more, don’t move them. Are you going to pack yourself or hire professionals? If you’re doing your own packing, following is a list of materials you’ll need. Moving companies and overnight mail businesses can furnish these, as well as specialized items including wardrobe boxes for clothing and heavy-duty boxes for china and other breakables. Liquor and computer stores also are good sources for sturdy boxes…. ( Read More… )

  • Access to Recall Check: ( Click Here To Visit Recall Check )
    • Since 1974, American citizens have been protected from dangerous items in their homes by federal law. Congress prescribed a system whereby if a manufacturer designed a dangerous product, they MUST recall all those items and FIX THEM FOR FREE!The problem in the law is that most often it’s up to the consumer to find out whether appliances are potential fire or safety hazards!

There is a database designed and managed by the government, but you would have to wade through 200 MILLION recalled items to find out if a dishwasher or air conditioner is a hazard to your clients family, until now.

    • The RecallChek ProcessMaking America’s homes safer one appliance at a time.

      How it works:

      • Appliance data for a property is submitted to RecallChek through a number of means depending on which is most appropriate.
      • At RecallChek Headquarters, your appliance make and model numbers are computer matched against MILLIONS of recalls using our Model Number Algorithm(MNA).
      • RecallChek will then hand-check the report to eliminate wrong numbers from worn plates and ID cards, and other problems.

In the event of a potential recall, RecallChek issues a report including

      1. the nature of the recall
      2. where the product was sold
      3. how to remedy the defect
      4. how to get the item repaired/replaced in most cases – absolutely FREE!
